A Blessing

Wednesday our church had the privilege to have a Awesome band perform a concert. The band is called the Annie Moses Band. They were such a blessing to everyone including Phil and I. I just thought I would share them with y'all. We have been listening to their songs everyday since then. You can go to their website www.anniemosesband.com and listen to their songs. We are hoping to take some friends and family to see them in concert again sometime soon. They are also on itunes. They are a family that play all different instruments and are all Julliard trained. Their songs are wonderful but listening to them over the Internet pales in comparison to seeing them in person. Enjoy!

Week 16 Update

Well, I am almost 17 weeks and can't believe how fast time is flying! The baby is about the size of your open hand. I haven't felt it move yet, but am looking forward to that in the next few weeks. We find out what we are having on the 25th and can't wait to find out! There is so much to do, but we are just waiting until we know what the Lord has blessed us with. I am so glad to be feeling better and to have most of my energy back. I know Phil and Carson are glad also! Here is a picture of my ever growing belly at 15 weeks. I am also growing in lots of other places as well. It should be interesting this summer having to get into a bathing suit. AHHHHHH!!!!! I was lucky with Carson and didn't have to, but there is no getting through this summer without it. Anyway, we will post when we find out what were are having. More than anything we just want a a healthy baby! Thank you all for your prayers!

Morning Routine

Here is a cute video of Carson the other morning. When I was getting reaady I noticed he was getting out several of Phil's things and using them. I thought it was priceless and wanted to share it. I also got a kick out of the video because at the end I asked him who his buddy was, expecting him to say his daddy and he said "Carter". Carter is 3 and Carson thinks he is so cool! Enjoy! Oh, you will probably want to scroll down to the bottom of my blog and pause the music player first, so you can hear the video without the music also.

The Prayers of a Mother

As many of you know, we mothers spent lots of our time praying for our children. It is so wonderful that we have a God who cares about the big things in our lives and also the small things! I thought I would share two things that I have been praying for. I love being pregnant, but pregnancy doesn't love me (at least in the beginning). I am now 16 weeks and am happy to say that the Lord has answered my prayers for the morning sickness to go away. I am not 100 %, but way better than before. So, thank you Lord for being so faithful to see me through those 15 weeks of sickness! And thank you to all my family and friends that had to put up with me also. The second prayer I have said recently will seem silly to most, but is a big one in our house. Carson is now 21 months old and still takes his paci to sleep. Phil and I have been praying for the Lord to help Carson when the time came to take it away. Yesterday when I picked him up from mothers day out they said they had lost his paci and were trying to find it when they realized he had gone to sleep without it!!!!! Shocker! This has never happened before. So, I thought well we will just roll with this and not let him have it anymore. Praise the Lord Carson only cried for 10 or 15 minutes before going to sleep and didn't wake up all night! We are so excited and are so thankful the Lord has answered our prayers again! We are paci free!!!!!!! So, keep up all your wonderful prayers. We do serve a Lord who listens and answers prayers!

Our First Look

Here is our first look at our sweet baby #2. I haven't blogged in forever and hope to be better in the coming months. This precious baby has been keeping me busy with sickness. I am almost 13 weeks and hope things will be better soon! So, here are our first pictures of our little baby. It was so wonderful getting to see it and see the heart beating. I know this is my second time to do this, but it still amazes me how awesome God is. During the sonogram the baby was moving all over the place and making punching moves. This sonogram was taken almost 3 weeks ago. I go back in 1 1/2 weeks and hopefully will get to hear the heart beat then. My pregnancy tracker says the baby is the size of a plum right now. Crazy to think that at Christmas it was the size of a grain of rice and now a plum. They grow so fast at the beginning.

I am also putting a picture of my fastly growing belly. Crazy how it just seems to pop right out there with the second. I don't remember showing much with Carson till 5 months, but that definitely isn't the case this time. So, here I am at 12 weeks.

Christmas

Our family has a tradition of "Christmas Eve P.J.'s". Everyone in my family opens up one present on Christmas Eve. The present always holds P.J.'s for us to wear that night. I thought it would be fun to post our Chrismtas Eve PJ pictures for the past three years. I love traditions.
When I was pregnant with Carson!
Last year when Carson was 6 months old!

This year! What a big boy!

Santa's Cookies! This is a picture of what Santa left on his plate. After this picture Carson ran up and ate the left over cookie. What a silly boy!

This is a picture of us at Phil's Bank for the Buffalo Gap parade. Carson loved Santa, but didn't want to get too close.

The whole gang Christmas morning. It took us 5 hours to open all the gifts!

Phil got this Texas Rangers hat in his stocking, but Carson had to wear it. Now he calls it his hat!

Santa brought Carson a bike! He loved it and wanted to sit on it all day. He hasn't quite figured it out yet, but I know it will be soon!

Carson's Christmas Present to Everyone

Here is a picture of what Carson gave everyone in our families for Christmas!

"mommy is pregnant!"

Yep, that's right! Carson is going to be a BIG brother! We go to the doctor on the 15th and will know a due date, but somewhere around August 14th! We are so excited! Please pray that this yucky morning sickness (which is really all day sickness) will go away soon and for a healthy baby! Carson really doesn't have a clue what is going on, but I know he is going to love being a Big Brother!
